Andy Pettitte was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and Alex Rodriguez had 4 hits and 6 RBI at Minute Maid Field as
the SSB SSB Tar Heels belted the Chainsaw Proctologists by the count of 12 to
2.
Rodriguez was in a groove all day. He slapped a base-hit in the 4th inning,
belted a three-run homer (his 19th of the season) in the 5th inning, doubled
plating all three baserunners in the 6th inning and lined a single in the 8th
inning. SSB banged out 14 hits on the afternoon.
Pettitte(4-5) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. Jeff
Suppan(2-5) took the loss. SSB scored big getting 7 runs off him in 4 and
1/3 innings.
Rodriguez was jubilant after the game 'Let me see a box-score' he joked, 'I
want to see how that game looks on paper.'
